i cant see it being too difficult. Ive never had to do it but check out the ebrake by taking off the interior. You should be able to figure it out from there. If that doesnt do it then check out the caliper at the other end there may be a problem there

Removing the side kick panels should reveal a cable mechanism. Simply loosen the bolt with the cable attached... and pull the cable with your hand till its a little tighter... then re tighten the bolt and your done

when in the drivers seat it is the panel on the side of your leg. and the same goes for the passengerside. The parts that attach to the center console where your shifter is. It would probably be easier to just remove the center console to get to it

You might also want to check your rear brake pads, not saying that they are bad but worn down, as they get thinner you have to pull back more on the E-Brake to get them to engage, I had a similar issue and found that the brake pads were close to worn out, after installing new brake pads the E-brake was back to the normal position when being engaged.
