I have a 1.8liter pos its so slow.
I was wondering whats the biggest beast i can get into the thing without WAY too much work
i was thinking a 3.0 talon engine but i cant even find one ANYWHERE
would a 2.0 turbo be worth the swap?

 

you cant find a 3.0 because they dont make them, you can do the 2.0 turbo if you are really in love with the body of your car.. it will probably be pretty expensive because you will need new ecu, wiring harness, engine, tranny ect.. like most others on here will say, it is cheaper to just sell your cat and buy a GST or GSX, but it can be done..

when i mentioned a talon engine my friend was talking about a 3.0 but i guess hes an idiot too.
well..i guess ill hold off on the swap idea and just hav fun with my 1.8 for now lol

 

lol, really if you want to risk it, you can go to a local junkyard, find a cheap2.0 turbo talon/eclipse and swap it, that will be cheap but you have to risk stuff not being any good... make sure it runs and drives before you buy it..

Is there ANYTHING better than the 2.0 cause that doesnt seem worth going therough all the work for such a little change.
what times do the 2.0 turbos tend to run?

 

i dont know what times they run, but 2.0turbo will be the only easy, half way affordable swap.. they are pretty damn quick, much much faster than the 1.8, it is a small change frome numbers 1.8-2.0 but alot alot alot more power

 

A 2.0 turbo is a lot faster than a 1.8. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the 1.8 has 95 horse power and a 2.0 turbo 195 hp

 

well yea you can round it to about 95, i heard 93hp[&:]and im not sure on the 2.0t, sounds about right though
