lets see - theclutch started actingstrangethen the whole gearbox half of the transmission had to be picked up out of the road - the output shaft to the transfer case was found in the back of the car after going up through the floor....[sm=smiley35.gif]
theres about half a bell housing still bolted to the block and a little piece of aluminum hanging from the trans mount

i was givin it hell and the trans was already making noise so i was waiting for it to let go, i just didnt quite expect it to explode like that, lol,
ill get another one and do it again - its all part of the fun

holy cow.. dangerous stuff.. luckily u didn't have any passenger or else somebody would of gotten owned hard with that drive shaft. How did this happen lol.

 

yea im in ohio, ive seen shepherd's car run at norwalk, 7.70's when i was there
i'd like to have that trans but thats alot of money, how much im gonna end up blowing them up it might be worth it to only buy it once[8D]

 

so i also found the F[sm=smiley35.gif]ingears on both sides of the block where the 2 bottom bell housing bolts go through are broke off, that should be entertaining welding cast iron back together while its still in the car
then im gonna make some mega braces for them and add a roll mount to the transmission so hopefully this wont happen again, by the way evrything broke it looks like the block broke first causing the transmission to crack then come unglued

buy my tranny, buy my tranny . I have a galant VR4 tranny that i have been trying to get rid of since i dont have a car to put it in anymore. I have the t-case for it too. Let me know

And man it seems like you have more fun fixing stuff with that car than actually driving it
