Question for other 1.8 drivers
when i first got my car (which should be fixed today) it would shake like a mfer when the ac was on off and there was no shake at all so we did a complete tune up thinking that was the prob it helped a little but it would still shake like hell so we did a quick fix and moved the idel up to around 1000. i was wondering if this is a common thing or what? if not any ideas as to y it would shake only when the ac was on and smooth as hell with it off.

RE: Question for other 1.8 drivers
no not that bad and only when the ac was on
it's realy weird my buddy with an 2gen said that his did that and he changed the batt and it stoped. but mine still shakes and drops like 200+ rpm so it would go from the 800 to around 600. i've never seen a car drop that much from the ac being on.

I wound guess you have a problem w/ the iac since its not compensating the idle when the a/c comes on. Another thing is to check the crank pully and engine mounts if they are bad it will make the car shake more then usual.

RE: Question for other 1.8 drivers
that or ur idle speed motor is bad or bad mounts (as listed above)....my car shakes when i bearly turn it on but it stops when its warm but my idle speed motor is bad so insted of the idle catching it self it will turn off but that happens every once in a while but like i said befor it might be it
