Default Replacing Head NEED HELP!!

I am looking at buying a 91 talon tsi, the guy says it has a stuck lifter and needs the head to be replaced because of it, and he has a good working head and i was wondering how much labor is involved in doing so and if it would needed to be done or if there is a way to get that lifter unstuck?

I am experienced in working on cars but nothing to do with mitsubishi's at this point..

well it really depends on what happened to the motor. I mean you could have a lifter be sticking andnot cause damage but im guessing that he knew it already caused damage to the valves, ect.

Assuming his head is good, youll stilll have quite a bit of work to do and stuff to buy, like new head gasket, water pump (might as well), assorted other gaskets, timing belt... and the labor will be somewhere in the 10 hour range at a local shop. Id say youd be looking at around $1000-$1500 for the work, depending on the shop that does it.

They are not bad to do, I have done several and can do them ina few hours. Since its your first time make sure you take your time and make sure you get the timing done right. Like what TE said get a new head gasket, w/p, timing and balance shaft belts and all new tensioners.
