Default Stupid dashboard question here.

I have a Haynes manual, but it is of no help in this matter. I want to change the radio in my Laser. ( I know, I know,,,,,, i said before I wasn't going to. But I changed my mind.) It says to remove the center piece in the dash to pull out on this metal tab thingy behind the center air vent, and then, at the same time, pull out the air vent. Is that correct? Because after 30 min. of cussing & fussing, I still cant get the ^%$# air vent to come out!!! OOOOOOHHHHHHHH,,,,,, its pissing me off !!!!!! Thanks for any help here guys! I really mean it.

Pull off the trim around the radio and remove the 4 screws and thats it. You dont need to pull that vent section out.
