Counting the splines is more accurate the first time though

yea i see 3 different spline counts on the input shaft, then some with 21 or 22 on the drive shaft, i need rear CV axles too, junk yard has a pair for $100, they want $100 for the rear drive shaft, $150 for a t-case

Sorry I wasn't much help. It's tough to tell which of the 1Gs had what. IMO, stick with your year and you should be golden...although, I would still count just to be sure, lol.

yea ill get it together eventually, i got this car for way under what the guy wanted, he started at $1200 for it and i tore him up on the price cuz all of the AWD stuff is missing except the rear diff, and the timing belt broke, the plastic panels on the front fenders are nowhere to be found, but its a very clean rust free car with mint interior, i gotta find a power steering pump, top side motor mount is MIA, apparently he lost all that stuff when he started taking it apart, im sure whatever this car needs it'll be the most uncommon most expensvie thing there is, i always seem to get ahold of the oddball cars[&:], if i could sell this neon i'd have the money to dump into this car all at once

Nah, hold on to the neon. You may need a dependable n/a car down the road, lol.

i have a dependable truck, that neon is a POS, it can go, lol i have 4 cars & a truck right now i need to get rid of 2, i like the TSi talons & had to get it when i seen it for sale, been wanting one for a while, just havent found a decent deal up untill now, i always buy cars that have problems for cheap then fix evrything & sell them for twice what i have in them, the talon i wont sell, ill probly drive it till its beyond dead unless it dies every other day & pisses me off.. neons for some reason i hate those cars, i race one, but the idea of that is legally beating the hell out of a car i dont like on a dirt oval and i win every so often with it
