Default wierd rattle

ok, i got my car running and clutch working but i think i have a more critical problem.. when i run it, at about 2500rpm i start to hear a rattle in the bottom of my engine almost like something internal is loose.. could this be a pushrod?? connector rod?? as long as i dont run it hard how long will the engine go without blowing? thanks for any help..

no its not a ticking it is rattle, sounds kind of like metal smacking metal.. i think it is a connector rod, does that sound possible.. oh, and i just checked my oil and there were VERY small metal shavings in it.. and when i drive it, i think it is loosing power.. i think it is done for... any input??
