Default 02 mitsububishi eclipse GS cranks fine 1st time

My 02 eclipse is a trooper. The guy i bought it from totally rebuilt and replaced everything under the hood except the blok itself. Well one day a couple of weeks ago i stop to put gas in my car, of course i cut it off at the pump. i come back out, pump my gas, and my car wont crank afterwards. so i popped my hood, everything looked normal. it started after about 45 min and has been doing the same thing everytime i get back in it.
Every cold start it cranks, but if i get in it in the morning for work and go the 3 miles to work, it wont start. my mechanic has never seen anything like it PLEASE HELP BEFORE I WASTE MONEY

everyday i first get in it it cranks, but say i have to get right back in my car to go somewhere after i turn it off, it wont crank. after a period of time (about an hour) it will crank back up and run fine. its like something is getting hot but once it cools off, itll crank again. ive also learned that if i disconnect the power to the battery, let it reset, then hook up my battery again, a handful of times it will crank right back up. i can hear my fuel pump kicking on, so i think its something electrical, and thats where i start getting confused. ive checked all fuses and plugs, hopefully its just a sensor. someone told me to check my ignition module? thanks for all help!

not starter.
"crank" means the crankshaft is turning, by starter usually,

what you mean is that it wont fire when warm.

A new set of plugs, for a start. Unlikely to be the icm.
Coil can be tested. Check your egr and warm air intake is working properly...
