sorry, electrics aren't in my vocabulary.
i assume this was read by some flashing light? not to assume you're doing it wrong, but, are you doing it wrong?

and what's the actual problem with the car?

To my knowledge I am performing the operation correctly. I am cycling the key three time within 5 seconds. The only reason I am performing it this way is because my 95 doesn't have an obd2 . And not really ANYTHING wrong with the car just want the engine light to go off so that I can get it inspected somewhere other than MY GUY. I assume that the code that it is throwing as to do with the aftermarket intake that was installed BEFORE I had purchased the vehicle. There is a GHOST plug under in the engine bay that is long enough to go where the air box WOULD HAVE BEEN.I cant seem to find an answer as to where this would go and cant figure out how to upload pics lol. I could email the pics to you if you wouldn't mind or if you might already know what I am talking about what it may be. Thank you again......

i dont think pics would help either of us.

i am not sure what the problem about the engine light is, if it really disturbs you, you could remove the bulb from the instrument cluster, or cut the wire...

i'll dig out a mitsu haynes and see if it says anything about it.

you could try connecting the wires from the ghost plug together, or grounding them out, but this may cause damage.

I found that it is a CHRYSLER made motor and the code 23 is referring to a Throttle body temp. sensor circuit...... Any suggestions on how to fix? Please advise and ty for being patient with me

Default obd2?

We have a 95' Eclipse GS that is OBD2. Wonder if it dependent on manufacturing date. I also read that the 95's were OBD2 because it was required in 1996 but Mitsubishi decided to install it on the 95's. Ours was built in January of 95.
