Default 1996 eclipse

I have a 1996 eclipse rs. I know its not the gsx or gst, but its fine with me. I got it for cheap, and put a lot of money into it so I'd like to keep it, but I hate the auto transmission. So i was looking into doing an auto to manual swap, but I dont know what I'd need. Does anyone know what parts are needed, and roughly what it would cost? From what I've read, I know i need the tranny and computer, but what else? thanks

you would also need the pedals, linkage, clutch master cylinder, shifter, and I am pretty sure there is even more than that. The best thing to do is get an eclipse that is alredy manual becuase that has a 5 speed and it works! I know that probobly isn't what you wat to hear but honestly it is definently going to be the cheaper way, unless you find all of the parts for free. If you put money into it just buy a manual one and then put your stock parts back in if you have them or swpar them with the new manual car you get and then you will have all of those parts on your new one!

Make sure you know your way around a wrench. It's not the easiest conversion, but it's been done a lot. I think a lot of people will tell you to cut your losses on your RS and buy a gst or gsx. That, of coarse, depending on what you mean by "a lot of money."
