2.0 N/T PERFORMANCE???

RE: 2.0 N/T PERFORMANCE???
Let me just put it this way. One of the fastest NT eclipses out there is only running a low 15 sec. 1/4 mile. So if you want to spend alot of money to only get that, then go ahead. Building the internals would be the first thing by getting bored pistons. But really to me building a NT block is a waste

second that. for the money you will be spending to completely build an NA car... you could easily turbo it. but if you are stuck on just having the fastes n/a eclipse around than you would port and polish the head, 5 angle valve job, 1mm oversized valves, springs, retainers, new cams, port and polish the intake manifold, bore the throttle body or just buy a 52mm one from somebody, buy a longblock, stroke it with higher compressions pistons, knifeedge the crank, lightweight pulley, racing header, 2.5' catback exhaust, CAI, SAFC-II, fidanza flywheel. after all of this you would mabey be lookin at 180-190 whp. but looking at the price i'd guess this is all in all about 5500 and i was cutting corners when i did this in my head where it only takes about 1k to build your block and 3k for a well named Turbo Kit. so you do the math, good luck with wahtever you do.

thanks so does anyone know where i can get a turbo engine from. the only reason i ask about the n/a is because i have a complete donor engine that is non turbo. infact i have the whole car same year even. so any ideas?

Unless you want to spend a rediculous amount of money then you shouldnt try and make a fast car out of it. I mean, there is a dude on DSMTalk that spent thousands on his car in mods... headers.. full exhaust.. all that good sheet... and it gave him 4 hp lol. The only real power gain you are going to get is with forced induction (turbo)... or alternativly buy a turbo car to begin with.

Stright from another web site that shall remain unnamed...
Thats all motor ladys and gents. So basically you can go, but no where fast lol. Turbo is deff the way to go for speed though, go to: hahn, star, or conceptillusions.com
There are drivers with minimal modifications who are approaching 14.999 E.T.s. and there are drivers with fully built engines who still cant do better than a 15.500.

RE: 2.0 N/T PERFORMANCE???
concept illusions has changed their name to cimotorsports.net you mention you havea donor engine. . . what year/model do you have and what spare engine do you have? if you have an RS or GS, but have a gs-t or gsx motor. . . sell one of them lol dropping the turbo engine into the non turbo car is a more expensive procedure than a gst or gsx by itself.
