20x8.5 with 245/30/20 on a 2g spyder??
hi everyone i would like everyone's input. i know most people are gonna wanna bash but that ok its your right,i have put up with lots on the j-body forum when i put 20's on my cavalier z24. i have a 98 spyder gst currently with 235/35/19 axis se7en's 8"wide, lowered with sportlines and agx's and noooo rubbing at all.i found a real real sweet set of 20's that I AM GOING TO BUY and im gonna run 245/30/20 tires on it. my question is this, what if anything do you think will need to be done to accomodate these wheels?the overall diameter of the 245/30/20 is only 1/3" over the 235/35/19 that i have on now.and the tire is only 10 mm wider than my current tires.everyones input is appreciated, just please try to refrain from the common line....18's are good enough or thats real stupid or its gonna sit high off the ground. i realize everyone has an opinion but this is what I WANT and the 19's just dont do the trick anymore.THANKS!!!

jesus christ man 20's? those are gonna look goofy lol but ya I dont think 245s will fitthat sounds really wide for the front tires I had trouble with 235s on my drag radials I could only turn the wheel slightly. your speedo and tach will prob be out of wack thought

Best bet would be o call a local tire shop and ask them they have exact specs of wha will fit and rub and will not.

in my opinion it would look terrible, but to answer your question, dont go any bigger than 18, otherwise without expensive fender modding they wont turn well. id stick with 17's max though, even 16's with a beefy tire i think looks better than bicycle rims on a car

they wont have any info on 20s on that car. they go to 19 and anything larger needs something custom done in order to fit but im not sure what
