Bought a new stereo for my car.

If your talking about a head unit you ground it to the stock ground wire that the stock head unit hooks up to.

The plug-in harness/adapter I bought for it does not have a ground hook up.
It has all the power, speaker channels, and illumination.
Radio has all that, and a black ground wire.

There should be a ground wire from your stock head unit. Unless your talking about an amp?

dude just find a solid metal place to ground it and, ground it. mine was grounded to the metal casing that makes up the dash but rerouted it to under my seat w/ my 2 amps and just grounded all 3 to the chasis.

In the 2g, look at the 2DIN hole... now look at the top left in the back there... theres a bolt. Loosen it a little... now, crimp an eye loop onto the end of your black (ground) wire... put the eye loop onto that bolt and twist it back in.

if you took out the whole console pannel (which i had to do XD) there are some bolts near the shifter (well, the auto at least...) they provide good ground, if not just use a tester light hooked up to the hot wire and search away
