Default 2g Eclipse Shift ****

I recently bought a new shift **** for my '99 Eclipse and am having trouble removing the stock shift ****, is there a certain way to do it? or should it just screw off?

haha, I tried turning harder and it doesnt even budge, thats why i posted haha

get like a big big wrench and tighten it around the shift **** and turn left....thats what i did when i had my 04' sentra ser

I have to use a rubber strap wrench if I tighten mine up too much. There is most likely thread lock still holding tight in there. So, yup, grab it really tight and turn it counterclockwise.

And if iby a act of god like strength, you break the shifter, just replace with a B&M short throw
