i need a new engine. Found someone with a 2g turbo spyder. Is it the same engine as my 95 tsi awd?

 

I think it will,I am doing the opposite,I found a 96 eagle that had been drove up on a curve and busted the transmission and messed up the oil pan.The guy is wanting 500 dollars for the car.I am goanna try to put the engine in my 95 rs after I build it with a turbo.

 

Depends what engine you have in the tsi. Look in the sticky section there is a cross reference that will give you all the info you need on what engine is in what. That will tell you if it'll fit your car.

 

i have the 2.0 turbo, he has a 2.4 turbo...

also, will a first gen engine bolt in, no problems?

 

What are you bolting the 1G engine into?? The TSi? The TSi may fit it if it has the 4G63 engine. If it has the 420A then it won't.

 

1st gen 4g63 turbo into my second gen tsi awd.

 

I don't remember what engine the TSi had but I am fairly certain they both have the 4G63 so I would have to say yes it will drop right in.

 

yes its a 4g63t, same as the gsx. but the gst has .4 more liters....wont that make a size difference?

spyder gst=2.0 liter turbo

it depends, the 92+ turbo cars have 7 bolts(bunch of differences... just note that their different) So If its a 93 1g yes the block will swap into the talon tsi awd. The spyder were only made from 97-99 and the non turbo ones featured a 4g64 motor (2.4l) where the turbo ones featured a 4g63(the motor in your talon). If you wanted to you could swap the 4g64 non turbo motor into your car but that would be a step in the oppisit direction... this is all asuming that you have a tsi awd and not a 420a esi.

 

I thought it was the 93 up that had the 7 bolt...
