2nd gen gs or 3rd gen gs

RE: 2nd gen gs or 3rd gen gs
Well the 3rd gen GShas the a 2.4L I4 (4G64)versus the 2nd gen GShaving a 2.0L I4 (420a). The 4G64 in the 3rd is pushing roughly 150 crank hp and 160 ft/lb torque whereas the 420a in the 2nd gen is roughly 135 crank hp and 125 ft/lb torque. So the 3rd gen is more powerful but it is also a bit heavier and IMO doesn't look nearly as cool as the 2nd gen. Then again if you really want something to mod and play around with I would go with a 2nd gen GS-T, but if youre looking for a GS its going to come down to whether you can find the car you want and which styling you like more.

RE: 2nd gen gs or 3rd gen gs
what are you looking for out the car? styling? - 2nd gen, reliablity? - 3rd gen, quicker?- 2nd gen but still very slow. you can not do a turbo engine swap with out 5-6k of swap money. and you can't turbo them for less than 2-3k. so if you are looking for just a cool looking car? 2nd gen. if you are looking for any kind of power? neither, go with a 2nd gen gs-t or gsx.

Sebba, you find it! lol you post enough to be on here long enough to find it. If you are looking to beat an 01 gs than a 2g GS or 3g GS will do that with engine upgrades.... but if you are looking to go beat other cars after that, the list is small. the way you are talking i'd say go with a 2g GS-T. put an intake, exhaust, boost gauge and boost controller on there and i think you'll be extremely happy.
