Default 3000gt in Eclipse?

Well, this is my first post and I would like to ask if anyone here has swaped a 3000gt's engine into a 98 eclipse gs?

I guess maybe it can be done now.....perhaps using some hardware from a 3g v6. But you'd need a totally custom engine bay....and custom wiring and hoses.....i'd say it's more trouble that it's worth.

Yea, just get a nice bulletproof eclipse engine and boost the hell out of it.

im pretty sure it will not fit. and there is no point in it. one big turbo is better then 2 small ones. if you look at all your top dsm times they come from a single turbo, there is a reason for that.

Just get a gsx or somthing, and 96awd what do you mean all dsms with fast times have single turbos, even if they sold tt kits for them it is no point of putting it on because, the lag would be very bad and you would get no power because its a inline 4, or were you talkin bout 3kgts?

all you have to do is read my post. im not saying to put twin turbo's on a eclipse im saying that there is no point in having a 3000gt motor that is twin turbo in a eclipse even if you could make it fit. because one big turbo is all you need,so thats why your top dsm guys use one turbo.and if they did have a twin turbo set up for a eclipse lag would not be the problem, because you would use smaller turbos they will spool up at lower rpms.

I would highly dissagree with this. becuse for them 2 turbos they are running 3 pistons. also some of the fastest cars i have seen are either a TT V8 or V6. TT works very well on bigger motors and we could put twins on a eclipse its called sequential turbos on big one and one small one. stacked on top of each other. but that is a huge amount of boots for a four banger.

It's not the size of the motor that makes twins pointless or helpful, it's the orientation. If you've got a V type engine twins is great, if not there's really not a point unless you have like a straight 8 cause you can setup one with whatever power you need.
