so last night me and my girl are onthe way back from the beach (she's a car chick ). I see a 3g w/ a body kit rollin w/ dual bean cans, i casually pass him thinking nothing of it... while passing i take notice that it's a GS. he comes FLYING past me about 20 seconds later then hits his brakes. my girl is like "damn it Ron, he's calling you out". i'm like "wtf? if i get a ticket ur paying for it b/c i'm way to broke right now to pay for a ticket" she said ok. so i got next to him, he honks it off (goin about 50, perfect 2nd gear speed for me) i take off and immediatly pull abouta car before i shift into 3rd, during my 7 minutes of 3rd b/c our cars are absolute pieces i pull another 2-2 1/2 cars then when i shift into 4th i pull another car or so... my g/f looks at me and says "you barely beat him!" then reaches over and put my flashers on!!!!! i laughed my *** of when she did that!!!!!! then about another 2 or 3 miles down the road (after the 3g gets off at an exit) i see an avenger w/ some green neons (ghetto rigged it looked like) who wanted some also. and basically the same outcome... only beat him by about 3 cars though. it was a fun night. just thought i'd share. not often i get to post a kill when in my eclipse haha

 

lol, congrats... I never did like the 4 banger 3Gs anyway.

 

well the 4 cyl 3g's have the most potential out of them all, but they are heavy beasts and it makes for a very slow car when stock. Seems like a fun time. I never understand why people like that thing their car is amazing. Well i guess i can a bit, they dont know any better

 

Dude, you know good as well when most (key word most) of have 3G GS we don't race anymore the key with a 3G is that it looks fast to a none car person. I know that the only car I would race is a 95-99 v6 Mustang or Grand-Am Gt and if I was not such a good driver I may lose that race. I like to just cruise and every once in a while if I am driving around 50 or so I will shift down to 3rd and fly around someone or take a corner or something (sport-tronic) other than that my car is a tank lol. So he had duels on a GS he **** should have been hella slow then.

just to addto the comment about racing a grand am gt. i owned a 04 grand am gt before my 2g eclipse and i used to beat the **** out of 3g gt's all the time. i could hang with anything as long as it wasnt a v8 or turbo. but saying that, the gst is ahell of alot faster. lol

 

04 being the biggest reason. Plus the fastest GT eclipse's were 2000 after that they were slowed down a little then the GTS is second

 

bestwiseguy used to take my neon. i got my gsx ... that was fun.

 

ya good times. those were the times i could actually beat you in a race. untill you got that damned gsx. *** hole. lol
