so.... it could be done? like i said there is a 98 2g gst eclipse down the road for 600 bucks that i can get. my best friend is like a master welder/fabricater and said he'd put it on my car for 200 bucks. so i'd have a 4g63 swap for apx 800 bucks. i know i'd need to rewire it because it's a diff ecu but other than that and some new suspension. . . id have me a 4g63 GS. tempting.

youll ruin your car if you di that. I mean to do it the right way so that way when it makes any kind of power the front end doesnt crack off at the welds to the frame... not sure I would even bother for the $$$ it would cost

well i was reading a thread on someone that was doing it and i think it cost him 3k (having most of it done himself and having someone doing welding cheap) and he needed to do some welding on the mounts on one side then the side with the tranny there was alot of welding and cutting for that side. The thing is you have to be good, becuase you dont want that stuff moving around

eh, i was just curious anyways. a friend of min asked me if it was possible and i had never heard of it tried or done before so i thought id ask. my engine is finally being rebuilt so it doesn't matter much to me anymore. however a friend of mine that used to have a talon tsi bought a 6 bolt engine a long time ago and it's just sitting at his house out in the weather. he's going to GIVE it to me! i'm goin to pick it up today. i'm gonna build the hell out of it over the next couple years and when i'm done buy a gst or gsx shell and drop it in with a GT35r... will be one fast mother. but that's a while down the road.
