right, yea i knew that it was positioned different but it is the same motor right? so if an idiot wanted to waste a perfectly good evo and take the motor out they could put into their 1g or 2g ecipse. right? just so i know?

It has the same motor code and specs(2.0 liter, dohc, manifold mounts and such) but it was reengineered to work "right". People do swap the 4g64 sohc head out of their 3g eclipse for the evo 4g63 dohc head. Also people swap out the 4g63 block in their gst/gsx for a 4g64 block to get more displacment. Knowing this information I suppose its possible but why would anyone ever want to bother with doing so? A 4g63 is a 4g63, and there are ways to solve crank walk with out getting a new motor.

EVO 3200LBS with awsome suspention and at full weight. with a MUCH better motor than the DSMs have seen from AMS.

the whole point of all of my questions is could you drop one of the 1000+hp motors from an AMS evo into a 2g eclipse since it's the same motor?

THANK YOU lol wait, if it's turned the other way wouldn't it make the evo motor a much better subsitute for a swap of the 420a?
