420a timing problem

Dissconnect the battery for 30 mins. Turn the ignition on to drain any excess power.. then reconnect it.

I've already been through the bent valves portion of my drama. I have fixed that and have no met the roadblock dscribed above. I followed exactly what is says in the FAQ section, It just doesn't seem to be timed right or something. The car idels rough and smells like a lot of blow by....any ideas?

But the timing marks are lined up 100%?
