No... Theres many more powerful 4 bangers out there... its just one of the favorites. The 4cyl in the S2K... (echh) for instance, has got a little more.. and its N/A Or a custom 252 cubic inch Offenhauser Indy 4 cyl engine that could produce 420 hp way back in the 1930's...

 

Okay i dont think most powerful is the correct statement. Most versatile, strongest, is more like it.

 

I would say currently as a mass marketed rally classed motor "no more then 2.0L" It is one of the best.

yea right, How many 3s are making 1000HP or more? there are like 20 1000HP Evos now. and I know of a few DSMs even so. Im sure for a Street car the 4g63 can be capible to rank right up to the top f the mst power. how many other 4 bangers make those kind of HP figures. I dont think I know of one. Even the s2k motor gets swapped out for a 2jz or something to get there
