Many have asked if its possible. Weve all seen pics and write ups but I personally and a few others that have 4g64 motors probably havent heard or seen how a 4g64T DOHC sounds. Im doing my head swap soon. Turbos comming later. I am actually impressed. 4g63 owners drop opinions. 4g64 owners there seems to be a lot of oppertunity.

Im just curious of the pros and cons... As far as a head swap. then as far as a turbo. All around saftey and Daily Driver issues for both opinions. Maybe this will stop the same old questions about making a 4g64 fast. Please I would like everyones input then maybe we could make this a FAQ. Because we see this every week and ive done a lot of research I just want to hear everyone elses input besides buy a GST or GSX. Thank You.

 

Well see this is a totally different question then the ones we usually get. The one we see all the time is how to turbo a 420a motor. Which IMO is a POS. So when dealing with the 4g64 i am totally for turbocharging it. That motor has proven to be able to handle boost decently well with the 4g63 head on it. There are actually alot of good write-ups on the turbo conversion. And since the 4g64 is in the same family as the 4g63 it has alot of the same characteristics. The 3g version of this is acually even better than the 2g for handling boost. Id say go for it. Also remember alot of the aftermarket stuff from the 4g63 will fit on the 4g64. Yeh ive done my research with that site and a whole lot of others. When I first came to the Mitsbishi message bored I was told it isin't worth it. Now that ive done the research ive seen plenty of possitive stuff. I have never actually seen or heard a 4g64t before the video I put up but im really amazed at what i seen and heard. Keep The opinions comming. We do usually get a lot of questions for the spyder gs 2.4L. Ill be using a 1gen head on mine. More feedback please.
