95' Eclipse GS won't start.
Have a 1995 Eclipse GS that cranks but will not start. It was running great, pulled it into the garage, went to drive it the next evening and nothing but crank. Thought it was a fuel pump but when connected to power source (battery) the fuel pump activates and sends fuel to the front. Replaced the Camshaft sensor, fuel pump sensor, and crankshaft sensor. Checked all fuses and the ASD and all looks good. Timing belt is present and looks in good order but ordered a new kit since we have to do so much labor to make sure the crank is in time figured it was best to replace it all including the water pump while it was open. Any other suggestions? The car was throwing a P1309 from the OBD2, which is "Timing missing a tooth or two". Would this eventually make the car to where it won't start, just crank over? There is no power going to the coil or the fuel pump and there is no spark. When the code was being given the check engine light would come on like it is suppose to, go out when it was started, but would come back on in about 2 to 3 miles. Once the car was shut off the same sequence happened, the check engine light did not stay on when starting but would stay on after about 2 to 3 miles. Now the check engine light will not even come on when the ignition is in the "on" position. Does anyone have an suggestions?
