Mechanic informed me that the tensioner broke, messed up water pump and a couple of gears on crankshaft. The mechanic thinks we need to replace the motor.
Can anyone please help with this problem or tell me what I need to do?

i just got myself a little '95 eclipse, and when the previous owner handled it over to me, he informed me that my power steering pump needs replacement. the car squeeks really loudly when steered.

true enough, i sent it to TiresPlus and the technician told me that a bolt on the power steering pump is missing. mitsu couldn't offer me the bolt, so i had to change the whole pump. all in all it costed me 200ish, labor included.

the thing is prior to sending to TiresPlus i tried out another independent garage and they tried to rip me off with stuffs like both belt replacements and other crap (i mean cmon, neither of the belt is frailing). you might want to get another opinion if you think the diagnosis is suspicious.
