Ok so i went for a drive today and found a black 1995 eagle talon tsi AWD 5speed with a turbo timer, new BOV ( i didnt pay much attention to it), and 135,000. It got a new head gasket and timing belt a while back so thats all clear and it was inspected this april. The place wants $3,500 for it so i am buying it tomorrow

only problems i saw was the tires are pretty worn but still inspectable. BUT i have 4 brand new kuhmo tires on rims AND 4 brand new continetels on rims

 

hmmmm....even fair condition on KBB is about 3600 for that. just inspect really closely. and just because they say they did something, doesnt mean they actually did. Ask to see the receipts

 

yea that is pretty cheap. I remember a kid around here bought one for 3k and it crankwalked only a couple months later

 

well i drove it home today and the clutch worked nicely and it shifted fine. Every thing seemed good, my dad was infront with the gsx which is also a 95. We got to a spot where we had to turn onto another road, i put it in second and hit the gas hard, when i did it went like "POP" POP" "POP" and i had to go into third, it was like chugging but not like it would if i shifted bad or w/e. It felt like something was resrticting, then it would pop with power, then ristrict etc.... Then it was fine after that, any ideas? Oh it has a new BOV, i'd check what it is but it is raining out

 

Well it sounds like it either missfired or your car hit fuel cut.

 

fuel cut sounds right, it wasnt a miss fire, i dont think. I thought i broke the car at first.lol

 

Well i guess a fuel cut would make sense. Cause in the gsx we have a mbc and its at like 13 psi, but has the stock BOV. This car has a new BOV and has more acceleration. That make any sense to you guys?
