Default 97 GST

I found a 97 GST on a car lot and the guy said that the turbo pulls good and hard but it smokes. Is the smoke common for a turbo? The car has 176,000 miles on it.Any help would be appreciated

The stock turbo sucks. They usually need to be replaced around 100k.

In my opinion, no, but I've never been a fan of high mileage automatics.

It depends on what type of smoke your getting, white or black. And with that type of mileage i dont think id get it. Stick with your more reliable car for now until you get enough money to buy a better one. Becuase you may end up sinking alot more than 5k into this car
