97 Spyder GS-T Repair Question PLEASE HELP!!
I recently purchased a 1997 Spyder GS-T Convertible with 97,000 miles. I drove it from Colorado where i purchased it to Boston, and then to New York and back to Oregon where I reside. The only problems I encountered on the long drive, were a rattling sound from the lack of motor mount and the turbo gauge seemingly working too hard upon acceleration.
About a week later, I broke down on the freeway. I could not start the engine at all. I had it towed into a repair shop. They said the AC Belt snapped, wrapped around the timing belt, the pulley snapped and the crank sensor was also busted. They replaced the pulley and the crank sensor, but put the newer timing belt back on at my request, because I couldn't afford anything more. The repair cost at this point was 470.00. The shop warned that they couldn't guarantee anything other than the parts because they did not replace the timing belt.
4 days later... driving on the freeway and I hear a weird noise, the car starts shaking and running very rough. I didnt know if I was going to make it the 2-3 miles home but I did. When I turned the engine off and then on again, it didnt want to start but did very rough sounding. Then the second time, nothing. After this, it would not start at all.
I had a kid come out and look, he said the timing belt looked fine and was tight. He thought the timing belt had gone down a cpl teeth. Didnt know if that would cause a complete shutdown though. Im out of money and wondering of anyone might have any clues what has gone wrong. I can have the car repaired but im scared of another 500 diagnosis bill.
Please help. Thanks Kirsten

Well, when you buy a car, you should always get it looked at before you drive it. I bet if you went to a shop the day you got home, you would have saved a couple hundred dollars. YouTube " 4g63 crankwalk". And see if the sounds and
