Default 99 GS-T carbon canister

I recently bought a 99 eclipse gs-t and the previous owner had removed the carbon canister. He lived somewhere where emissions weren't a problem but now I have to pass emissions to get it licensed. The problem is i don't want to spend 300 bucks buying a new one and putting it in, so i was wondering if anyone knew how to bypass this system so i can pass emissions and save $?

why not look for one in a junk yard. The whole point of the canister is to reduce emmisions. If you by-pass it that still doesnt fix the issue. Do have a CEL or something or do you just think that you wont pass emmissions because its not there?

try this website
www.car-part.com

its an online junkyard inventory. Im sure you could find one. I know near me there is a pick n' pull where you take the parts and every time i have gone there, ive seen at least 1 eclipse. Maybe not always turbo but im sure you look close enough. Are you sure you will fail without it as is?
