99 mitsubishi eclipse gst search
I am searching for a 1999 eclipse gst. This is the car that I have been wanting ever sense I was a freshmen in high school. I am moving from Japan back to the states soon and am wanting to buy this car when I get back. I am looking for it in the Ohio, Michigan, or Indiana areas! I need one with mileage under 70,000. No problems with the engine or body. Exterior color doesn't matter, it is getting painted anyway! Looking for black, leather interior. Wanting a manual with a power sunroof, power windows & door locks! Wanting it to have never been in an damaged in any way! I will have to be driving it long distances often so it needs to run very well!!!!!
Please e-mail me if you have anything for sale and might be able to help me out!
Thank you so much,
Erica

I love my '99 Eclipse GS-T...Good choice!!!! I found mine on autotrader.com near Washington D.C. which is about 5 1/2 hours from where I live...If you need to know anything about the GS-T, let me know...I've had mine about 2 1/2 years now...here's a pic.

Shreff I have a 99 gst too. what are some problems you have experiance with yours. Mine runs great the only problem it is somkes alot. I replaced the valve stem seals, put in a rebuilt 16g, a new Mas, Had a compression and leak down test done, And a bunch of stop smoke in the oil but it still smokes.

I've had no problems with my '99 GS-T what-so-ever and absolutely love it...What a great car!....Just the valve cover seeps a little oil but a simple fix...I'm going to have it powder coated anyway so I'm not really concerned about it yet but if it gets any worse I'll change the seal...It chugs a little until it gets warm since I put the air intake on it but that has something to do with the Air/Fuel mixture I think and I'll get a control module or something for that some day to correct it...I've only put about 5,400 miles on it since I bought it 2 1/2 years ago and it just rolled 51,000 miles this summer so I don't drive it that much...It's going to be a "show and go" car..I was offered a sponsorship this summer also but slacked on it...It's my baby and it sits in the garage most of the time..It's definately a great car to mod and a whole lot of fun...You'll love it! What did the compression read when the test was done? It could be the rings with the valve stem guides..Let me know.
