My neighbor who constantly is rebuilding something suggested looking into a Garrett T3 turbo.

^^ T3 is just the flange. That is not a specific turbo.

For that range, and your mods, I say get a PTE 50 trim. Great *** turbo.

^^ Garrett IS a full turbo brand but yes the T3 designates the flange type.

Sebba it could be a complete T3 and not a hybrid. Which as you know the 50 trim is a hybrid t3/t4 garrett turbo.

And i agree with sebba. For that power the 50 trim will do what you need however it is not a complete bolt on as it uses different turbine flanges then the 2g so you will need a new manifold and a downpipe. (but your probably gonna do that with any turbo)

BTW what are your plans for tuning the car?

Thanks TE for mentioning my suggestion wasn't total cra?? .. I moderate some groups myself and it takes a certain type person to do it dispassionately.

The spool on the 50 trim isn't bad. Obviously it won't be anywhere near the T25 or 14b, but for it's size and output it's pretty outstanding.

on these mods: stock block, lightly ported 2g head, comp101200, magnus SMIM, tubular exhaust manifold, 3 in turbo back exhaust and 3 inch intake pipe.... front mount.... 1g TB.. etc etc... I got full spool at about 4 grand in second gear. 1st gear was the main spool gear (building boost) and second was the power gear. I would recommend the 50 trim to anyone. For the record its a complete bolt on with the stock exhaust manifold and o2 housing, so now issues there. You're gonna need bigger injectors and a good tuning tool. Dsmlink is definately the way to go
