Default air flow sensor on new intake?

hey...
i orderd an AEM cold air intake, and i dont know what to do with the air flow sensor.
if it is unpluged, the check engine light comes on, and i dont think the AEM intake has its own sensor.
this guy told me i have to unplug it, then reset something in the car, so the car thinks it doesnt have an airflow sensor... but it sounded like bull****, but i dono...
SO, someone please tell me what do i have to do so my car runs well, check engine light doesnt come on, and everything is in order.
thanks a lot in advance!
serge

doesnt your intake keep the stock mass air flow sensor there. It should. If so then what is the problem. Just hook your new intake up to the MAF and it should work fine. Maybe im not understanding what your asking . IDK

well to try and clear things up... my AEM intake is still being shipped, i dont have it yet,
my stock intake obviously has a airflow sensor, if that stock sensor is unpluged, the check engine light comes on,
so what do i do with it when the new intake comes? i dont think it has its own airflow sensor.
do you think i could take off the stock airflow sensor and put it of the new intake?
