yes they are that slow...we are talking you have a high 16 sec car now....NA you could hope for 15's....thats about it...if you must go NA put a HEMI in it lol!

in all honesty with the amount of money you are planning on throwing in, sell the GS and upgrade to either the GST or GSX since you have money to spend. Start from a better platform and build on. The last thing you want to happen is to get your azz handed to you by GEO after spending all that money.

if a geo was bout to out run my *** i would wreck em. that ain't gonna happen. all i was goin on is the fact that my stock motor was rebuilt and had all forged internals in it and better stainless valves. then i port and polished the head. i left a regular rs with 35000 miles settin

ya.. a geo wouldnt ever do anything... But he is right, best bet would to start with a different car..
Atleast ill give it to ya.. You are planning on building the motor, before you put a shot of nitrous in it.. 2 many people out there just put nitrous on that stock motor and expect huge gains and the thing to run forever..

Correct me if i'm wrong, but i'm pretty sure the 420A produces 145hp from the factory.
And I believe that number is around 120something at the wheels.
Wish I could find where I read that.

Like I said, please correct me if i'm wrong.
But for christs sake, the 420 is not as slow as people who don't drive one say it is.
It was'nt made for running and gunning, but yet is still quite peppy.
The RS & GS are primarily "chick cars", thats why the GST and GSX exist, to show the true power of the car.
But regardless, the 420A still aint that bad.
