Default Another d*mn 420a

OK!, its like this: My neighbor (and best friend) got himself an RS, just cuz he found it for cheap and needed a 4banger daily driver.... he decided to beef up since he is gonna have a lot of work done on the block... I know how the deal is with the 420a, im no n00b, so is there anyway we can get a detailed description of the parts for the bottom end that are on the track terror faq? you know, makes and where to buy em online (or socali). Just what he needs for a succesfully rebuilt bottom end, hes got deep pockets, and once again i know the deal with the 420a, he just happened to get it that way, and since hes working already and is more of an offroad guy (this is his last sport car hes going for a cherokee next) he wants to beef it up... any advice and help with this is greatly appreciated (soo greatly appreciated he told me to tell you it could be a community project or something like that..... whatever that is haha)

those are two good sites for parts. I would suggest getting lower compression pistons, stronger rods. And build up the head. That way you can run 15psi+. Then go with with the hahn turbo kit. Which is a 16g. With a correct build up you can make some decent power and hit low 13's pretty easy. I dont understand why people take the hard way. I guess its more fun that way . Well good luck

You may want to show him the blown up 420aT video, just so he knows to build up the heads.

howell automotive would be a great place to look, it's got an entire bottom end re-build kit for about $1300. If he's goin with a turbokit i would suggest goin with Hahn, just like TE said; unlike star and sbr turbo kits, hahns come with literally everything to install other than tools... I was talkin to a kid who's got Hahns Stage 2 Turbo Kit, MSD Ingnition Coil and Wires, HKS BOV, Side-Mount Intercooler, Voltage Regulator, Cometic Gaskets, Zex Nitrous Kit, N1 Exhaust, and is runnin about 250hp on only 7 psi... so if you build up the head as well you'd be lookin at some decent power... I threw in a picture of his engine bay
Although... if he's got deep pockets, why not just look for a gsx?? oh well

LOL like i said i KNOW all about it, and ive seen like 10 videos of blown up 420a's, its the engine i own, but like i said, its the last sports cars hes buying and hes not gonna look for a t or x, hes more of an off road person, hahaha, and 13's is ok.... the best car in town is a 2000 SE-R sentra with only boltons, and why is he not getting the gsx... well, trick question.... i dont want him to MUAHAHAHA, im taking an X later on when i get some money, and he'll be rolling in a cherokee, thats why i posted this and just didnt tell him to get the gsx. Thnx for all the info
