alright guys, as you know i recently installed the 16g turbo in my gst, now heres the problem. i have the stock intercooler hooked up to it and everytime i step on it, the intercooler hose pops off and its clamped pretty good, could it be that the 16g needs the fmic(which i have just need the piping kit) please help im gettn fausterated

 

either your overboosting, or your couplers are peices of ****. Id think more likely the second one. You need to get better couplers.

 

I'd like to think that it's the clamps also. If you're using the ****ty worm clamps that come stock, there's the problem right there. Use real T-bolt clamps, lbs for lbs, they will hold up better and tighter.
I don't think that it's the stock smic causing you the headaches bro.

Dude **** that its not even your problem.

The problem is the ****ty couplers

 

Im under that assumption myself. Its gotta be the couplers. Everything seems to be pointing to it... Youre not going to be able to blow that apart with anything the 16g produces unless the couplers are failing.

How about a real answer sebba . You can get silicone couplers just about anywhere online. Even ebay has them pretty cheap. Then see what kinda clamps your using. I would get t-bolt clamps
