Avenger Vs. Eclipse?????
My brother in law has a 2.5 avenger that he is in the process of turboing. He is making his own setup for. I'm not sure what turbo he is using or any of that. I just briefly talked to him about it. My question is, If/when I turbo my 420a and he turbos his 2.5 Who is more likely to win (assuming same psi)?? He beat me when both of ours were N/a (granted i was running on old plugs that were misfiring) and i just dont want to go through that again. I want to be able to whoop his ***..lol Anyway, what do you guys think? I know he's got more displacement and more HP but is he always gonna be that way?? i guess what im hoping you'll say is "no with the same mods the eclipse will walk all over that thing."
both cars end up with blown motors.... I dont think he is going to make his own setup no offense to him I dont know him but I do know how much $$$ it takes and time because I have done it on the past to a 2.4L 3G and it was not easy.
Now if the cars are identical PSI and able to handle the power then the 2.5 gets the win IMO

nah none taken.. I know he can/will make his own setup. He has lots of experience with machanic and steel work. He was a welder for i dont know how many years until now he is starting his own body/mechanic shop. He already had the turbo last time i talked to him which was quite a while ago. Not sure what he's all gotten done. Even if he blows it up i dont think he really cares.. its kinda his toy car i guess. he got it for hardly anything at an auction with blown motor and tranny. changed both and now he's turboing it.
Why do you say blown motors?????????

well slow420a says that a 420a can withstand up to 10 psi on stock internals

well with advengers having a mitsu wireing harness and dodge componetes that they didn't match up well, i would say that the dodge will have more punch and more problems down the line with it, but they're suppost to put out more just n/a if it's a six, but 4 banger they're around the same as the n/t eclipse. if he hasn't replaced the fuel rail, i would tell him to watch it, many bad experiences with the one my dad has.
