Can you elaborate on how to use a airhammer to knock the axle out?

Now for fun part #2. Bought a full new suspension system on e-bay. The upper control arm ball joint bolt is not correct. It is to small for the main arm. Oh well, as they say, you get what you pay for.

I had the same situation. 1 side came off fine but the other didn't.. No matter what tool the shop used they couldn't get it to budge so new axle and wheel hub. I drove the car with a bad wheel bearing for about 4 months prior to tryin to remove it. The other side that came off easily was maybe a week of driving it bad.

get an air hammer and use a pointed attatchement for it. stick the point in the little divot in the halfshaft and let that sucker rip. it should come out within a few seconds
