Default back to the drawing board

so I FINALLY got to drive my car after putting it back together and after about an hour some belt started squeaking... So this morning I stop at autozone (because i work there) and just wanted to bitch about having to tighten everything back up. My boss comes out and checks everything and he says that my timing belt looks like it is sliding forward (towards the driver side) so I check that side and it feels loose.. what the hell!!? So now i gotta take everything back off and move the belt one more notch down on the crankshaft to tighten it on that side. Any suggestions? Comments? Anyway I can do this without having to reset the hydraulic tensioner? Thanks guys

did you replace the tensioner, because its a cheap part and when rebuilding the head its not a thing you want to fail.

yes sir, I replaced the hydraulic tensioner, tensioner pulley, idler pulley, balance shaft belt and pulley, and the water pump. I just don't want to have to rip EVERYTHIN apart. Isn't there just a way to loosen the tensioner pulley, slide the belt over a notch, then retighten the pulley? Instead of having to reset the hydraulic tensioner, putting the special tool in... yadda yadda yadda.. theres got to be an easier way. I mean I understand its my dumb *** fault for not rechecking everything, but help a retard out.
