I got my 1995 eclipse gs 2.0 automatic, he said it needs a ECU, it will turn over but will not start? i have no idea what it could be? any help would be great

 

hey man im having the same problem right now with my 95 talon esi but mines manual but anyways no spark no fuel right...but it'll turn over...go check out ebay because you can get a good ecu for cheap on there but before you start the car put on the ecu and put and OBDII scanner on it because you could have a problem that fried your ecu and you dont want to screw up the new one...well hope this helped man...let me know if it work because im definately interested to know ifi can compare this with my car...

 

Have you checked the simple things yet? (I.E.-Fuses, plugs, fuel lines and whatnot)

 

if he had a mechanic check it out he probably went over all that already dusty...but then too theres always shady mechanics out there so it couldnt hurt to go back over it all and check it out...but i definately think its gonna be his ecu b/c of my problem ya know what i mean dusty...

 

Where did it say a mechanic went over it?

 

did a new ECU fix yours?

 

havent go one yet TE but once i get paid im hoping it will...ive replaced everything other than the ecu and he's having the same problem so im using my experience with the same problem to help confirm what someone has already told him lol...if the ecu doesnt fix my car im gonna be really confused

 

thanx 4 the help but i got the car on a deal the two computers were in the car when i got it from the guy when i towed it home three hours away i guess it fell out cause it wasn't bolted in, and it isn't in there now the guy said he replaced all kind of of things but one of the wires is barely hangin on

 

you know i am having a problem with my car, the same thing, no fuel no spark. Ive been told to check the fuel relay, it wont hurt. Its a cheap part, and if it doesnt work then your not out a lot. Just a suggestion. The only problem is finding the damn thing.

 

i have a 95 eclispe gsx and im having a similar problem. my car starts but it will randomly shut off and then when i go to turn it back on it will only start if the check engine light pops on which usually it doesnt. no one has been able to figure out what it is.
