Default battery cable

anybody know how to change the negative battery cable, mines corroded to hell. already cleaned it and everything but the corrosion really messed it up.

my haynes says "follow the cables, removing any retainers and disconecting the other end" after you remove it from the battery of course, (keep in mind car batteries are used for welding [:@])

You may not be able to get a factory negative cable all by itself. The factory unit may include the positive side as well. You might want to consider using an aftermarket battery clamp with the remaining cable (cutting off the factory clamp) to save some money. It all depends on how far the corrosion spread. Good Luck!

It also depends on if the corrosion penetrated the core of the cable.
