I have the full Apexi front pipe, eliminates the cat, so if you have emissions police you are screwed. but very nice gain, and great sound. also custom pipe to exhaust. No reason to spend another $700 on a cat back... come on people!

BBQ off the line, so back up!

if ur all wheel drive... then thats coo, but if ur fwd then u should have power in the back so this way it regulates... if u have all the power in the front its gonna work harder and not have the same effect.

But seriously, getting rid of the cat does give major gains. I don't like to goby what a magazine says, i prefer to think i have a little bit more of a brain, but in an issue of import tuner(i think) they did an upgrade on a 1g and added an apexi downpipe and it net them a gain of like 30hp. I don't think it's believeble( is that spelled right?), but it probably could happen on a very *un-tuned* car. Who knows...

Non-turbo get a catback system with 2.5" piping and for Turbo models get a turboback system with 3" piping. Thats a good place to start with. It'll make ur car louder but you will increase performance quite a bit.

I dunno about getting a 3" for a turbo. If you don't get supporting mods and crank up the boost, a 3" can hurt perfomance. Although it does get rid of back pressure(which isn't good for turbocharging despite what domestic guys say), it can hurt flow. A good dsm rule is that if you're not doing 350hp, then you don't need a 3" system. Of course you can plan ahead....But getting a three inch on a stock 2g will probably give you boost creep. And boost creep will kill your engine quickly. Good luck.

yea true. I wasn't taking everything into account. My mistake. Turbo's need to breath though. Make sure u get alot of air in and alot of air out.
