anyways my girlfriend has a 97 eclipse 2.0

when she sees a turbo eclipse she always likes the wing on em, so i was gonna get her one for christmas. wheres the best place to get em? i see replicas on ebay for like 160 shipped unpainted, is there anywhere else to find one?

- and on the ebay ones/real ones, do you guys know if they mount to the same holes as the stock lowrise spoiler?

They do not mount to the same holes. If you want a perfect finnish, then ifind a hatch that has that spoiler already. Or else you have to fill the holes, and get it repainted.

Try dsmtrader.com and dsm tuners.com (remove the space).

 

does anyone have a pic of how off it will be?

so there will be actual holes that are exposed even when the new spoiler is mounted on?

that means the old spoiler takes up more room then the tall version? interesting if true.

 

Her eclipse wing has a wing itself and two side panels (not attatched to wing) the wing has a center piece and 2 sides. the turbo wing just goes straight into the trunk. If you find this confusing look below.

this took me 5min to find i just googled...not to be an a-hole but at least i answerd before everyone started with sarcasm so your welcome

 

Yeah not to mention it has the two side pieces. Notice how the tall wing has nothing there....

I just realized even if you did get the hatch with the correct holes, you will still have those left on the side panels.

lastly, do you think anyone has rubber grommits that could plug up those holes in the body? you know like how they plug holes going into the firewall?

 

There are a couple ways you can fill the holes. One is with bondo, and then sand and smooth it out, then paint it. Or the harder way, where you weld the hole, grind it down, then bondo over to make it perfectly smooth, sand it, and re paint it.

Either way you need to use bondo and re paint it. Personally i dont think there is anything wrong with just bondoing the holes.

 

well if it was my car, i would go for it but this is the girls car- prolly not gonna do the mod alot more involved then i thought it would be.
