Default bestwiseguy's gst

well to start out, i got my Apexi N1 in on my GSX, and man i love the sound, but anyway. Bestwiseguy on here is having internet trouble and wants me to ask you guys a few questions. First, his boost gauge is reading at 14lbs. He has no MBC just has the bcs restrictor gone. Stock turbo. Also we've raced a few times, never from a stop cause he's afraid of how bad it will be, but even from a roll, my car starts to leave him behind. Any ideas, suggestions? we are both stock save for the exhaust.

i cant seem to pull away from even some riced out cars. i raced a sunfire and a few others cars and even though i can pull away it is just barely. everyone who drives my car says the car should have more power than it does. it does not act up at all, just feels restrective. im a little baffled. any advice would be great. my internet is working for now. lol

sounds like you might just need a tune up. Get some new plugs and wires. Maybe a fuel filter. Do the general maintenance, and maybe check for a boost leak or something

Sounds like TEs idea should clear things up... is it manual or auto?

weve done that to. acording to my boost gauge im hitting 14 psi. which is weired becuase i dont have a mbc so we dont know why its that high. im not sure what kind of sparkplugs they put in when they did tune up. would if did not use the regual ngk would that cause it to run sort of sluggish. also could it have anthing to do with the tps sensor. im flashing a code for that.

Are you creeping or spiking up to 14psi or is that 14psi steady, until you release the gas pedal?
Check your IC piping for oil, do a boost leak check, clean out the smic, check your turbo for shaft play, etc.

we have done all of that already. we just got cleaning out the smic a couple of days ago. we have also already checked for shaft play and run a boost leak test. there was nothing wrong. we have not cleaned the ic piping yet though. we cannot figure out why the car is running so slugish. i am flashing a tps (throttle positioning sensor) code. would that cause the car to perform the way it is. im starting go get a little frustrated because we cant figure it out.

The TPS would cause a delay in acceleration and/or an incorrect air/fuel mixture...so, yes
