Default RE: better deal?

Have you both looked at and driven both vehicles? I would start there and then do a car fax report just to see what's up. Personally I would never buy a already decked out car because it means it's been beat. Plus you take a chance of an amature doing the upgrades themselves. I've seen it so many times, they deck the cars, beat them, find out what they messed up and decide to sell. I would make sure it's a trustworthy vehicle, try and find some people that know the guys personaly and can tell you what kind of mechanic and driver they are. But to answer your question.........The more expensive one obviously has more done to it. So with the difference in savings by going with the cheaper car, could you infact reach the performance you're looking for? I would almost take the cheaper and do an engine swap. This way you know the most important part of the vehicle is all lagit. But like I said check them both out thouroughly. Body integrity, interior, why parts were changed or replaced, how many owners, and who did the mods. GOOD LUCK either one will be SIC!

some good points in there and i am definately going to test drive before i commit to buying and everything. both guys are actually members of dsmtuners.com, not that that makes them good mechanics but less likely to sell a piece of **** to another member cuz it would ruin his rep. the only problem is both cars is that theyre too far away just to drive up there and test drive and come back home...i guess ill see what happens

good luck with that deal man! Even though it's far to go and just test drive it, it's so worth it in the end knowing you have a solid car. I drove about an hour and a half away just to test drive my Prelude before buying it. In the end it was worth it.

I'd say go with the cheaper car. But it's just my preference. I'd rather have a blank canvas and some paint rather than buy a portrait of someone else. Although the cheaper car does have a few mods already soo.....!

While buying an already upgraded car probably means it's been pushed that's not 100% the case, I'm someone who would be the exception, 99% of the time I'm extremely easy on my cars but I just like to have it there, call it an itch, lol. But the one benefit of buying something like that is you'll save a ton of money having it already there cuase if you added up all that stuff it would be a hell of a lot more than they're asking.
