big problem or little???

oil is coming leaking out from under my oil cap while im driving, and two of my friends cars did the same thing and both of their motors blew, what is this normally caused by and how do i fix it ?

make sure your oil cap is not shot out....or u might have a crack in your Valve Cover...thats what happened to me my Valve Cover had a crack in it i thought it was the oil cap...but it was a crack

try inspecting your valve cover, and buy a new oil cap, it's only a couple bucks from autozone.

Ya.. My spyder leaks a little oil around the oil cap.. Most of the time its just the cap. Not that expensive to fix..

I think this one is an obvious fix. If you see a line coming from the oil cap, chances are, it's the oil cap. The gasket on the oil cap gets very worn out.
This problem is small unless left unchecked. If your motor doesn't have the proper oil levels because it leaks out somewhere of course it's going to ruin your motor.
If you don't see a trail from the cap, it could also be your spark plug tube seals leaking or even a crack in the valve cover. Of course, if you haven't touched the cover, ever, then it's not going to be a crack. The cracks happen from over torquing the bolts down.

valve cover is cracked, i accidentally cracked it putting it back on after i had problems taht im not going to get into but anyways thank you guys

i want to powdercoat my valve cover but I'd need to buy a new gasket, and it's 40 bucks around here

ya im gonna get a blue one, but i just baught gaskets so im just gonna take them off the old one and clean them up then reuse them
