Well hey guys, after a couple runs last night, i was running this 240 turboed (not sure what he had) thinking his car was the ****. So i pulled up next to him and we went at it, i was pulling away pretty easy too. Well, next thing you know. KA BOOM! You guys know that line going down the block (an oil line) that runs straight down the block by the oil filter. Well that line/ tube is held on by 2 bolts to the block and it ripped off with a piece/ chunk of the block attached to the line. OIL EVERYWHERE. So yeah, a chunk of the block is gone. I'll take pics tomorrow. So there goes my car! I really have no idea what i am gonna do now. I might leave the "dsm world," i might not. i just need a car to get around and RELIABLE. I heard Engineer was selling a block though? LOL!

 

Oil line that goes straight down by the oil filter, held on by 2 bolts..........sounds like the dipstick tube.lol

 

NO man! LOL! thats not it. I'll take a pic and show you guys. That was kinda funny though.

 

well thats the only thing that came to mind.lol

 

If that happened to me.. I wouldnt find anything funny about that!! That always goes threw the back of my head when im racing.. Nothing Break!

From when i talked to him yesterday it sounds like he is going to drop a junk motor in, sell it, buy a GSX, and build it up. Or just buy an already built GSX.

 

TheEngineer has a 1G GSX 6bolt long block FS for $100. He also has the GVR4 tranny and T case

 

Idk what to do guys! This blows. Any suggestions?
