Blower Motor

RE: Blower Motor
Well, when I bought the car, the dealer supposedly put a whole new blower motor in it, and it has now stopped blowing. It's still getting hot, but not blowing. I know how to get back there to check it out, (it's a long, hard process) but from there, I am lost. I don't know if its just a loose connection or what.

If you look under the passenger foot area- you can see the back of the blower motor (big round unit). There will a 2 wire connector going into it. Disconnect the connector and check for voltage and ground using a test light. The light should be dim at low, brighter and medium, and full intensity at high. If the light is working- your blower motor is bad. There should be 3 screws holding it into position. Simply remove and replace.
If there is no light at all, check your fuses to the HVAC system. Note that this time of year- it is VERY common for rodents to find their way into cars as a means of warmth and shelter. They commonly find their way into the HVAC tubes and attempt to nest there. Once the nest and debris gets caught up in the blowermotor- it can trigger and blow a fuse.

^ sounds pretty sane to me..I think ours are squared off though. Nonetheless..
I hope you don't have a critter in your blower though, lol. That would just be gross.
You guys are pretty funny with the "blower motor" thinking, lol.

I had a mouse in my neon, i found it when i heard the blower motor start to vibrate horribly, then a few thumps & grinding noisesi had mouse mush to clean out of all the vents and heater box.[:'(]I found its back half in the fan still, the rest was pretty well ground up.
For your start by checking fuses, then do like was suggested and check the wires with a test light. even try wiggling the plug to see if it comes on.
