I have a 96 RS trying to make it an RS-T but for the exact moment my car has blue smoke coming out of the exhaust so i know that there is an oil leak the car has on it 113k miles on should i just buy a rebulit engine, or a remanufactered one, or have this one fixed i heard it would be best to replace it or rebulid it but i dont have the tools to do that so i would rebulid it if i had the tools but i dont plz help and if you know any good sites plz plz list them!!

 

Well if there is blue smoke your burning oil, so do a dry/wet compression testsand leak down to see what is causing the smoke. I would figure out what do need before you go out buying a complete engine when you might only need valve stem seals or something.

theproblem is your trying to put a turbo on a crappy motor. just sell your rs and buy a GST. you wont be able to make more horsepower than a stock GST anyways.....

 

I tried to buy a gst and there was one for sale but it didn't last long so I've been looking and have seen nothing that is anything like a GST so I'm forced to keep my rs and put turbo on it I heard that an rs-t can kick out 300horses is that true?

It takes alot of money to get that kinda hp out of a 420a

 

If you have 8-10 grand to spare, sure.

It would be cheaper to buy a 400hp GSX 1000 miles away, fly out there, and drive the car back.

 

so how much hp can a stock motor push out? an why does every one seem to hate on the RS and GS if i could i would hve bought a gst or a gsx but there where none in my area at the time!! and still its hard to buy becuz im a student who makes little or no money with the job i have so i have had the car checked out he says he thinks it the valve seals and is fixing it so monday it should be done but shld i put turbo on it or not!!?

 

Ok umm no one hates on the gs/rs cars, it people like you who dont understand how much work and $$$ is involed in what your saying. If your a student and have no money what would your guess be...DO NOT TURBO YOUR CAR.

 

Your right im in school and throw much of what i have into my car an im guessing your right im not gonna turbo my car but i do have another question mufflers which muffler would give you a low and throaty sound like the 3000gt and still give you the that import sound!!
