Alright all i want to know is how much boost the stock t-25 turbo on my 97 gst is putting out. Ive heard 8 and 12psi. Which one is it??? and how much boost can you run off that turbo (safely) if i get a boost controller? thanks

 

each car is set differently....some are running 8psi, some are running 12. get a boost gauge and see for yourself. i wouldn't run more than 15psi on that turbo.

I wouldnt run more than 15 on stock fuel, however I have seen some get away with 17 on stock fuel. All in all I dont think higher than 17 with that turbo is going to do much for ya. The T25 is kinda a joke.

 

yeah true...next summer a turbo/intercooler upgrade is on my list of things to do. If i would get a bigger turbo how much boost can the stock engine internals take?

 

a guy posted in another forum on this site, that his friend was running like 32psi on the stock block....but it blew.

 

My friend ran 17psi on his 16g daily. He had a bov and a 16g w/ a bigger acuator. Thats it... oh and he cut the exaust off and was running open cayt. It smelled like death being lean and all. He pumped it up to 23 on the stock fuel system one day just for fun. He no longer has the car.

 

i saw an eclipse at the nopi finals this past weekend running 68psi...non intercooled...

 

68 Psi?!! Bull...

 

NOPI... in my opnion its not an eclipse, but a elipse body with a crazy *** motor in it.
